kind of a bad day......

I just had a intake sandblasted this week. When I went to pick it up this afternoon and I noticed they blasted the machined surfaces. When I dropped it off, the owner told me they would tape off all the machined surfaces and not blast them. On top of that I only wanted the top done, and they blasted the bottom and partialy inside the ports. As I was talking to the shop hand the owner overheard me and he came out of his office and told me that they were suppose to tape it up. He then said the blaster knew better than this and if it the manifold was bad he would buy me a new one. The shop hand could care less until the boss overheard us. I told the owner I would check it out with a straight edge and if it was bad I would let him know. Well the surfaces are ok, but now I l have to clean sand out of the port walls, hope I can do this.

I have had them do blasting for me in the past and never had a problem until now.

oh ok gotcha. My buddy has a blasting company here in the springs I was curious if it was him....glad it wasnt..lol

They must have hired a new person who didn't know any better. If it would have been a rare intake I would have been really pissed off and not just mad.
